since my one follower has so kindly pointed out i haven't updated in awhile, and i dont have too much to say - i will fill this blank spot with thanks to those that have so kindly created an issue in my life.
- my dog ran through my screen door, i live in a custom model home, so now i have to order a custom door. thank you dog for the costly spastic moment.
- starbucks has continuously run out of grande cups, therefore forcing me to buy a venti since a tall just won't do it, thank you for the extra calories.
- target, i want to thank you for the unnecessary christmas decorations in september, i really needed to store them until then
- california, the law that you cannot even talk on your phone while driving has made it difficult for me to catch up with people as well as difficult for me to get through the traffic you cause when there are police stops, thank you.
i think that is it for useless coplaints. otherwise, cali is amazing - sorry richmond, i do miss you, but you dont have much compared to this...

confessional.
it may seem a tad too MTV, but that is kind of what a blog is - yap about random things - so i will...
confesisonal time for me is that i went on furniture overload yesterday. this week has been crazy juggling new job, commute, everything and the house is a mess - there is like NO furniture anywhere. since i dont know where garmin is, job will take time, and i cant control much else i decided to decorate the house. after a lot of reasearch, i found a place that had such fun stuff, and stuff i can change to make the way i want it - x style with y fabric and so on... so yesterday, i found a place and go buy 2 things - a coffee table and a bedframe (yes, my boxspring/mattress has been on the floor this week). well... i got my 2 things alright. i ended up calling bear (i was going to just show up at home with it all vs tell him) and had to have him come use his car to help tote things back. 1 bedframe, 1 headboard, 1 chair, 1 writing desk, 1 lamp/table, 1 coffee table, 1 mirror later - i was ready to go. this weekend its my goal to put the place together - paint the writing desk, recover the chair, hang curatins, etc. will post pictures as soon as its done :)

going to Cali, strictly for the weather.
moving is stressful, so why not add a move across the country and a new job to it? great idea...after two weeks of nonstop packing, shipping, moving and preparations - I took off for Cali :) the weather really is amazing here.
4am EST I left Richmond and everything familiar to me. after spending an hour checking in and getting my dog cleared by TSA as a 'checked bag', I finally was able to get the boarding pass and go. throughout this whole process i haven't had time to sit and think, or get sad. i have simply had a 'get er done' mentality and pushed through everything. well going through security was the mistake - i was more fit for a padded cell. i completely got hit with every emotion - nerves, excitement, fear, sadness - you name it. poor guy at the check in counter even asked if i was ok, probably because i was holding back the tears, without any caffeine and not looking too great without any makeup. the flight from richmond to chicago was great, probably because i slept and kept my life in the denial-pile (thanks ashley). chicago turned into the worst part of the trip. i dont know if you consider them yankees or what, but man was everyone there rude! from the people at the coffee line to the people at the ticket counter and those around me. disclaimer: i might have friends from there and not know it, so if i do i take it back - yall are nice and i dont hate you. after a helacious 3 hour layover in chicago, i hopped on the plane to san fran - well, the back of the plane was empty. so i got up and moved to an open seat to sleep. leave it to me to have someone come sit RIGHT there beside me. there were about a dozen other empty seats - apparently i have 'i love people' written on my forehead instead of 'i have space issues'. so after tuning her out and quickly going to sleep, i landed in san fran!
abbie made the flight so well - i picked her up immediately after hopping off, and she was just her usual self. so glad that both animals made it. mom and bear picked me up from the airport and we went home to unpack and eat. turbo kicked in, and before the end of the night pictures were hung, boxes unpacked and clothes hung. sunday i shopped (oops), got my nails done, and relaxed some since monday i was starting my new job :)
real housewives of atl did a run in heels - i'm pretty sure monday i could have done that distance. i walked from office to office and met people all day, and by the end i literally have blisters the size of quarters on my feet. fml.
today is the third day and so far the calmest... my car got in this morning, so now i have all of my clothes and decorations to put up tonight.
